Shippers Warehouse Announces a New President

By Shippers Warehouse on Dec 13, 2016 at 06:58 PM in Press Releases

Shippers Warehouse is pleased to announce that Robert Doyle has joined the Company in the position of President. Prior to joining Shippers, Doyle was president of Doyle Distribution as well as Vice President of Business Development for Commercial Warehousing Inc. He also headed up Amware Logistics Services for 12 years during a period of exponential growth, working his way up from warehouse operations manager to president.

“Rob has a solid track record of accomplishment in our industry, and we are extremely pleased that he has joined the Shippers team,” said Ken Johnson, CEO. Graham Swank, co-owner of Shippers Warehouse added that “Rob is a proven professional and a recognized leader in our industry, having served as the 2015-2016 International Warehouse Logistics Association (IWLA) Chairman of the Board. We look forward to working with Rob to continue the growth and success of Shippers Warehouse.”

“Shippers has experienced substantial growth during the past year, with new facilities opened in California and Virginia, and several others in the works,” noted Johnson. “Bringing a talented individual like Rob on board adds depth to our management team, while allowing Graham and I to focus on customer relationships and new growth opportunities.”

At the age of 46, Rob has already achieved what most would consider to be a career’s worth of commendable accomplishments. He has served on the IWLA board since 2007 and the Executive Committee since 2012. In addition, he has been a Director for both the Atlanta and Central Florida roundtables for the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.

Doyle graduated from Georgia State University in 1999 after serving for six years in the United States Marine Corps. He also devotes time to his community, volunteering with the United Way, Red Cross, and Cub Scouts. Most recently he was appointed to the Student Advisory Council for the town of Oakland, FL where he participated in strategic planning efforts.

Doyle, his wife Mai and their two children are looking forward to relocating to Dallas in the near future.
