KEVIN WEST JOINS GDCT

            Dallas, Texas – Shippers Warehouse is pleased to announce that Kevin West has joined Grocery Direct Consolidated Transportation (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shippers Warehouse, Inc.) as Vice President of Transportation.

            In this newly created position Kevin will concentrate his efforts on expanding service offerings offered by GDCT, growing its customer base, increasing and perfecting customer metrics, and establishing a more extensive North American network of GDCT locations. 

             Kevin comes to GDCT with an extensive background in all facets of supply chain management, with more than half of his 22 years having been spent in an executive level management position with a large national carrier.  His knowledge and experience will contribute tremendously to the future success of GDCT and Shippers Warehouse.

             Shippers Warehouse, Inc. is a Texas based provider of supply chain services (3^rd party logistics or 3PL).  Operating over 3.4 million square feet in 6 facilities in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and 500,000 square feet in Atlanta, Georgia, Shippers Warehouse, Inc. was recently named a “Top 70 Food Logistics 3PL” by Inbound Logistics magazine and was named as the 93^rd largest privately held business (based upon gross revenues) in the Dallas area by The Dallas Business Journal.  

             Grocery Direct Consolidated Transportation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shippers Warehouse, Inc. GDCT provides LTL consolidation, truckload, container drayage, and small parcel shipment services for a customer base composed primarily of CPG (consumer packaged goods) companies.
